Was the Last Supper tasty?  Was any food tasty two thousand years ago?  Did people eat dessert?  We hear about ancient Romans eating peacock eyeballs and gorging themselves after quick trips to the vomitorium, but that was only really rich Romans, and were they eating that crap because it was tasty or because it was yet another way of displaying their disgustingly lavish wealth?  What about everybody else?  The riff-raff? The huddled masses?  The man at the office and the housewife in the kitchen?  What were they eating two thousand years ago?  And why do all the diners at the Last Supper always crowd behind one side of the table instead of sitting around it like normal people?  Guess they knew the event was going to show up on a lot of earnest paint-by-numbers efforts and laminated snack trays.
