#00284/Greeting Card (4.5" x 6.25") - Blank

The genesis of this card is both complicated and constipated. And reading a description of this complicated and constipated process might very well be the biggest waste of time you will ever experience. See, I found a couple of recipes in a hunting magazine for cooking squirrel under the headline “When he brings home GAME, cook it right.” This struck me as ridiculous, though I guess in some places, squirrel is a perfectly legitimate food item. Not any place I’d like to live, but that applies to most places. Anyway, I started fiddling around with squirrels: squirrels-as-food, squirrels-on-plates, squirrels-on-forks, etc. But then I couldn’t figure out a way to really tie the squirrel and the recipe together, other than putting the recipe on the card, and that would have just been too much text. Then, I accidentally ruined my best squirrel picture by spilling iced tea on it. This led to a small temper tantrum, and I finally put the whole thing aside, and went on to Card #00285 (which concerns potatoes). Later, I decided the whole squirrel thing wasn’t really as funny as a mom serving up an entire elk to her hungry, expectant children. As you can see, very complicated and constipated.
